Gypsy Witch is the project name of Diana Smethurst, one of the Admins (and Second Life representative) of RadioSpiral.
In 2010 she met an avatar in Second Life called Spiral Sands, and through him got to know the real-life man, Mike Metlay. He introduced her to the world of ambient and electronic music, and she was soon hooked.
One day, he couldn't make his show and she offered to host it for him, after which she was given her own show. A couple of years later she left that station to found RadioSpiral with Mike.. and the rest is history.
With a penchant for the mellower side of ambient, Gypsy’s music is often drifty or dreamy, but you will find some “beatz”, too: she’s even been accused of composing Techno. You can find her albums on the Aural Films and RadioSpiral labels.
