On tonight’s Meander, we continue our look at Space Drift music (although we’re starting to get farther afield, and next week’s show will be the last of the series). In recent editions of the Space For Music show on Thursday nights, Tony Gerber has featured five of the seven titles to date in the Aural Films Astronauts Series – namely 1, 2, 3, 4, and the recently-released 7 by Tony himself. Tonight my completist tendencies get the best of me, and we go back for Astronauts 5 and Astronauts 6.
The show will open with several tracks from Astronauts 5, courtesy of Scott Lawlor (who’s incredibly prolific, if you haven’t noticed!), and will close with Astronauts 6, a longplayer from an artist we don’t play nearly enough: Jez Creek a.k.a. Modulator ESP. There may be a Live Ambient Rant after the usual showtime, depending on how I’m feeling at that point.
