Every once in a while, I like to feature an album that stands out as a thing of beauty that many folks might not know about. I have never had the chance to meet or work with Russian electronic musician Evgenij Kharitonov, aka EugeneKha, but I respect him immensely—and if you don’t know his music, you really should.

Tonight, as summer’s greenery fills my world and my outdoor meanders are lush and lovely, I feature the first of a two-part listen to a great album to get you started on his work. Please join me tonight for the first half of the double CD Green Quest, featured on the original Earth Mantra netlabel in 2012.

After that, I’ll be holding forth with a Live Ambient Rant based on a long walk I took today along the St. Vrain Greenway, the river near flood stage and everything a riot of color and life. I will revisit my track “Fade To Green” from This Music Plants Trees, and expand upon it in new ways… Fade To Greener, if you will. I hope you’ll join me in Slack or Second Life, or just listen in; the music begins in a half hour or so. See you then!
