If it’s not already obvious to my listeners, I really enjoy the music of Jack Hertz. He’s a Bay Area electronic musician who’s very prolific with both solo and collaborative work, and his netlabel Aural Films has given voice to a lot of great artists (and also me) and charity projects over the years. So even with all the Aural Films music already in our library, it doesn’t bug me at all to offer a listen to a “greatest hits” album of sorts.
We’re going to hear a lot of tracks from Jack’s latest, Astronauts Volume 4, which collects tracks and excerpts from his huge catalog into a really listenable and inspiring collection. I’ll also do a Live Ambient Rant of some sort or another, while hoping that my new DJ software doesn’t give me more grief than it already has. As usual, the fun begins at 9/8/7/6 PM E/C/M/PT, and I’ll be hanging out in Slack chat and Second Life. Come celebrate this great album with us!
