So many of my moods are influenced by the weather. For me, moods are layered, with general outlook, daily attitude, and moment by moment thinking clouded by, well, the clouds. And those have been in abundance, making the dark mornings even darker, days gloomy (and very wet), and evenings no less gloomy. Motivation to move, or to do tasks, especially outside where there is actually seasonal work to do, get impeded by the lethargy inherent in looking out the window at the 3rd week of pouring rain.
I have rediscovered my love of certain comfort foods. Mashed potato is high on that list, although stews and soups, warm steaming things and of course, roasted pumpkin seeds which are seasonal are also on the menu now. Just 4 weeks ago barbeques and tomato salads were normal. I am adjusting to the season, as certain as the sun is lower in the sky.
Describing these things helps explain what is likely to happen during a performance of the Ephemera. If you hear, in what is played, any communication of the above moods, it’s probably not accidental.
As usual it’s 2 hours of more or less improvised music, performed solo.
The show starts at 3PM PDT/6PM/EDT/22:00 BST/23:00 WST
