The so-called end of summer, the clearer of beach towns, the season ending, the weekend of reflection in your summer cottage as you start to get it ready for the winter. And the return to school (which, actually already happened most places) and the return to normal operations after the August vacation season.
Cool early evenings, and the sun is now rising far later than just a month ago. Cicadas and crickets are now looking for their mates and the storm season has matured to the early autumn, late summer storm systems, we’re not out of thunderstorm territory but you could see a hurricane or nor’easter at any time now.
It’s not the most unhappy time in my year – as much as I like summer, the break in the weather leading to autumn wakes me up from my summer dream and helps me focus on things as we make the final season swing to the year end.
As usual it’s 2 hours of more or less improvised music, performed solo.
The show starts at 3PM PDT/6PM/EDT/22:00 BST/23:00 WST
