It’s been a wet August so far for us here in North London. It’s been even wetter in the more northern parts of the UK. The extra cool that comes with these sorts of Atlantic storm systems seems to send a signal to our garden plants, and where they were sort of dawdling along through July, they quite suddenly started ripening things and getting ready for some harvesting. Which is great, because we’re about a month behind on most of the gardening because of the awful cold May we had, the dry June, and the washout July.

The leaves on the trees are darkening. The effect is noticeable during the now-earlier sunsets, especially so when the sun peeks under the rain clouds, sending up a rainbow along with golden light on dark green leaves. This is my thought for this ephemera, number 130. It’s not an unhappy time, perhaps a little bit pensive for the autumn to start, which is on its way, surely.

As usual it’s 2 hours of more or less improvised music, performed solo.

The show starts at 3PM PDT/6PM/EDT/22:00 BST/23:00 WST
