Lately, on Meander we’ve been having fun with sequencers and music in a (vaguely, sometimes) Berlin School style. Before I move on to April’s special theme (stay tuned!), I want to revisit sequencing one more time – only this time, we’ll consider the relationship between sequences and percussion.
In our first hour, we’ll hear from Biome, QX#55, MS2020, Cosmic Hoffman, Sylvie Walder & Phillip Wilkerson, Mario Schönwalder (with and without Detlef Keller), David Buckley, and Gottfied Stockmans. In our second hour, the playlist will include Fanger & Kersten, TT-ram & Lutz Thuns, Patroux, SSI, Audraulic, E-Musikgruppe Lux Ohr, Alias Zone, Sayana, and Tatsu.
Throughout the show, we will gradually move to tracks with more and more percussion in them. Every song has a rhythm that you can move to… but as we go, the drums will gradually make themselves felt more and more, until they’re ready to take over. It should be a lot of fun – energetic and absorbing, with many a chair dance.
Come join the conversation in our Discord, visit us in Second Life, or just listen in. We start at 6 PM PST / SLT. See you then!
