Tonight, Meander recognizes Joe Frawley, who chose to retire from music earlier this year (at least that’s what he told us!), with the first of two shows dedicated to his utterly unique musical vision. These programs will highlight Joe’s combination of acoustic instruments, voices, and found sounds, and his unflinching blend of romanticism, alienation, innocence, surrealism, and creeping horror.
On tonight’s program, we’ll start late and go early. In our first hour, we’ll hear the albums Strange Weather and Waterhouse from 2018; in our second hour, we’ll go back to Angel Boxes and Speak of this to no one. from 2010.
