Once again, Meander returns to the music of UK-based musician Simon Slator (who describes himself as a “Progressive Ambient/Electronic musician who’s had more comebacks than the 8:27 train service to Nuneaton”). We’ll feature music from Halo, Subterranea Europa, and Workday, which emphasize his explorations into medium-format melodic/spacey ambient music. He has other longform works of a darker and more drone-based nature, but we’ve fed those to Spud the Ambient Robot, so listeners can look forward to encountering them on our 24/7 feed.

I’m also planning to offer a short Live Ambient Rant at the top of the second hour.

Come join the conversation in our Discord, visit us in Second Life, or just listen in, to once more dip your toes into the musical world of this excellent artist. We start at 6 PM SLT / PST – see you then!

Special note for our Second Life audience: tonight’s Meander will be the last show on our parcel until the end of May. After my show, I will put down a landmark giver for the 14th annual Second Life Sci-Fi Con to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life. All of our shows will be there for the duration of the Con, and we will not be accepting cash tips; instead, we encourage our audience to tip the RFL kiosks and give generously to this wonderful charity. Gypsy Witch has created a beautiful steampunk-themed theater, and we hope to see you there – dressed for the genre, if you can manage it!
