Audraulic is the solo project of Jez Mond, who lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and releases albums and EPs on a fairly sparse schedule. This fall is the tenth anniversary of his electronic music catalog, which consists of Creative Commons projects on his Bandcamp page and releases on netlabels such as Zenapolae – all free to download and enjoy.
Tonight, we’ll feature tracks from the last three Audralic releases – 2014’s Luminal Fluids, 2018’s Quadrate Patterns, and 2021’s The Empty Infinite. While Jez does some lovely longform spacy drones, tonight we’ll focus on the shorter, more rhythmic stuff, which fuses Berlin School and New Age/Space Music influences in delightful ways. A Live Ambient microRant is also on the schedule for the second hour of the show.
