Maurice Gallagher aka grum~pe is a longtime friend of RadioSpiral. This modular-tweaking, sequencer-pounding Scot was one of our first featured artists, with a 2-hour introduction to our audience almost exactly 6 years ago. I think he’s overdue for an update!
Tonight’s Meander will be the first of a 2-part salute to the grum~pe catalog. We wish we had the time to play some of Maurice’s longform albums, but tonight we’ll give you a taste of some of his more experimental, textural, and drifty music.
In our first hour, we’ll play a selection of older tracks, and in our second hour we’ll premiere his newest release – an extraordinary collection of ambient modular experiments called The Eye of Salar. Trust me, you won’t want to miss these spacy sounds.
