Our dear sister Gypsy Witch has been isolated for months, and thereby avoided COVID. She had a visitor stop by, and bang, she’s sick in bed. Bleah! We can haz a sad. 🙁

Yes, my friends, it’s time once again to turn in our hour of need (well, four hours actually, but whatevs) to that master of the musical moodscape, that sage of the soothing soundbath: none other than Michael Carss aka Altus. Tonight, we’ll hear two of his most famous and beloved albums in their entirety: Winter Embrace (the 15th Anniversary reissue) and Winter Embrace II. Tomorrow night, I plan to play Winter Embrace III, followed by a vanishingly rare recording of a live Altus performance from December 2007 entitled Toward the Winter Solstice.
