Notes from the Studio

It’s now been a month since Mountain Skies, and May is now a pleasant memory. June has come in colder and more like April than May was. My tomatoes do not approve.

Memorial Day went by this week. It was in 1987 that I wrote a piano piece on May 31, eponymously titled as such. I shall play it at some point. There’s a lot to play. The rest of the pieces to the new Eurorack boat showed up, and some spare parts, which will go into a small case to work with the 2600 and the other minijack based modulars. I don’t really need to convert between the big and little plugs anymore.

I have almost made the break from using the old backing tracks, they are mostly unrecognisable from what they were in 2010 or 2011, they’ve all been used many times and are completely different, so much so that I think I’m ready to leave them alone. I’m adding so much new material to each week, the old tracks don’t get used as much (mind you, I think this is progress and a good thing), but I will finish the cycle which should bring us to show number 200.

I have a lot of ideas tonight, and have been busy getting them down so I can play them. I hope it all works out.

Also as usual, I will be virtually performing in Second Life in the Ambient 101 region (the current home of RadioSpiral inworld), and in Opensim in The Dome, now in the Sharing is Caring Family grid. You don’t have to go to either, but if you’re inworld, feel free to stop in. Otherwise, simply tune in to radiospiral.net (instructions below) and listen in, all ears are appreciated.

And we have our Discord chat, if you want to hang out there. I think it’s turned out much better to use Discord, it certainly works better for me.

Thanks for your continued support. We at RadioSpiral appreciate all of your listening time, and wish you a happy weekend.
