Notes from the Studio
It’s been 6 weeks since my last Ephemera. Kind of a timing problem, really. I missed two, one because I simply could not get home in time (Dec 18th), and, well New Years Day (Jan 1st) which I really hadn’t intended to play so I didn’t. But here I am again.
And it’s a good thing that, during the expected downtime, I did a bunch of work rewiring in the studio. It’s made a bunch more channels available in the studio, which turned out to be timely – the iMac I usually use for the NI library stuff had it’s second premature SSD failure (turns out there was a run on defective SSDs) so it’s back in the shop getting a new SSD and it’ll take a day once it’s back to sort out all the libraries again. But never fear, there’s enough else to cover.
The main theme for this will be recognisable. It’s one of my more successful vignettes and has been played many times. But there’s an awful lot of this that’s making a debut tonight. So I have reasonably high hopes.
As far as it is my first show in 2022, Happy New Year and I hope we have relief from the past two years worth of disasters. I said I hope. I always hope.
As usual, I will be virtually performing in Second Life in the Orlov region, and in Opensim in the Dome, now in the Sharing is Caring Family grid. You don’t have to go to either, but if you’re inworld, feel free to stop in. Otherwise, simply tune in to radiospiral.net and listen in, all ears are appreciated.
And we have our Discord chat, if you want to hang out there, I think it’s turned out much better to use Discord, it certainly works better for me.
Thanks for your continued support. We at RadioSpiral appreciate all of your listening time, and wish you a happy weekend.
2 Hours of Live, unedited improvisation and performance

If you’ve missed shows or want to explore some of the past Ephemera performances, you can find them at https://aegura2.harriman4.com/ephemera.php which has the past few years of them. Beware, they’re all 2 hours long so there’s a lot to listen to (over 350 hours and climbing).
