For the next few episodes of Blue Water Drift Dive, as we ponder our imminent departure into the sunless depths of the darkest season, we will focus on music of winter.

And what exactly is that? Well, it’s more about a feeling than an overt genre or topic. It’s about ambient music that has a touch of frostiness to it, pieces with flow, scope, and duration suitable to the music, and above all, a sense of quiet solitude amongst the hush as snow falls.

With that in mind, tonight we will hear music from two wonderful artists: Somnarium and Max Corbacho!

The show happens tonight at 10p/9p/8p/7p ET/CT/MT/PT (2a UTC), immediately following the end of Tony Gerber’s fantastic Ambient Sundays program, and will last at least 2 hours. As with all RadioSpiral.net programs, the emphasis is on community, so of course there is a live chat.

If you tune in, I hope you’ll stop by and say hello …
