Please join me tonight for another edition of Blue Water Drift Dive, on RadioSpiral.net.

Tonight I am going to return to one of my very favorite artists ever: Thom Brennan. I’ve been a fan of Thom’s work since the 1990’s when I first encountered it, and ever since then I’ve been a huge fan of and oft-times visitor to his singular place in ambient music. So I was filled with excitement when Thom began releasing music again recently after a long quiet period. His latest albums have been diverse and fascinating explorations through various parts of the ambient electronic realms, but always with Thom’s unmistakable voice speaking clearly.

So tonight we will play music from three of his recent albums. In the first hour, we’ll hear cuts from Dragon Fly, followed by cuts from Night Lights and Departures in the second hour.

I will also be opening the program with a live set. I hope you’ll join us!

The show happens tonight at 10p/9p/8p/7p ET/CT/MT/PT (2a UTC), immediately following the end of Tony Gerber’s fantastic Ambient Sundays program, and will last at least 2 hours. As with all RadioSpiral.net programs, the emphasis is on community, so of course there is a live chat.

If you tune in, I hope you’ll stop by and say hello …
