The word numen has been around for over 2000 years and has a variety of meanings, depending on context. It can mean divine will, the essential energy within the divine, the experience of drawing near the infinite… The plural of these experiences can be written as numena, noumena, or numina. That’s what gave me the idea for tonight’s show – three spellings, three artists, three albums. three views of one concept.
In our first hour, we will experience tracks from the 1987 Robert Rich album Numena, and the latest album by sonaura that we featured on this show only a few weeks ago, entitled (yep) Noumena.
In our second hour, we bring you a selection of brand new music from Collection of Dimensions, the surprise new release by (you probably saw this coming) Numina.
